Manitoba’s push toward a low-carbon future just received a significant boost with the provincial government announcing an additional $1.5 million in funding for the Climate Action Fund.
This funding, aimed at advancing green projects across the province, includes critical support for EV charging infrastructure.
What’s New?
The $1.5 million investment will provide businesses, municipalities, Indigenous communities, and multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs) with greater opportunities to access financial assistance for projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance climate resilience, and increase clean energy adoption.
This expanded funding emphasizes the development of EV charging infrastructure, a key step in Manitoba’s strategy to support the growing adoption of electric vehicles and reduce transportation-related emissions.
