MCCAC Electric Vehicle Charging Programs
This program is tailored for municipalities within Alberta, providing funding of up to $5,000 for each Level 2 charger and $75,000 for each Direct Current Fast Charger (DCFC). Applications are accepted until March 31, 2023.

British Columbia
BC Hydro EV Charger Rebates
Covers 50% of total installation expenses up to $2,000 per Level 2 charger for multi-family buildings and workplaces. Participants also receive 5 free hours of consultation from an EV charging advisor. Additional rebates are provided for projects aligned with the “EV Ready plan.”

FortisBC CleanBC Rebates
Provides 75% of total installation costs up to $5,000 per Level 2 charger for multi-family buildings and workplaces. Includes 5 free hours of support from an EV charging advisor.

CleanBC Go Electric Public Charger Program
Funds 50% of project expenses up to $80,000 per DCFC (>50 kW) and $130,000 per HPCS (>100 kW). For Indigenous communities, funding may cover up to 90% of project costs.

Northwest Territories
An application-driven grant program aimed at supporting the installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure across public places, on-street spots, multi-unit residential buildings, workplaces, and light duty electric vehicle fleets within the territory. Applications are processed on a first come-first serve basis until December 1, 2023, or until the funds are fully allocated. All projects should be finalized by March 31, 2024.

Nova Scotia
Efficiency Nova Scotia EV Charging Rebates
A program tailored for existing apartment and condo building owners, offering rebates up to 50% of the total project cost, capped at $2,500 per charging station and $10,000 per building, to aid in covering the expenses for installing eligible charging stations. Applications are to be submitted by building owners/managers, strata councils, or other building representatives. Tenants desiring a charger should coordinate with their building owner or board, as applications from tenants are not accepted.
Eligibility: Building owners/managers, strata councils, or other building representatives of existing apartment and condo buildings.
Ontario
The EV ChargeON program provides funding for the installation of public electric vehicle (EV) chargers in Ontario communities outside of major cities. The funding covers up to 75% of total project costs with a rebate of up to $150,000 per DC Fast charging station or $7,500 per Level 2 charging station. Total provincial contribution will not exceed the total funding cap of $1 million.
Eligibility: Must be located in a community with a population of 170,000 or less, or in any Indigenous community in Ontario. Applicants can include businesses, not-for-profit corporations, municipal governments, Indigenous communities, organizations or businesses, and broader public sector organizations.
Quebec
Financial aid covering 50% of eligible costs for acquiring and installing charging stations at workplaces, up to $5,000 per port. No specific cap on the number of eligible terminals, yet the total assistance per institution is capped at $25,000 each fiscal year.

Roulez Vert Program – Quebec
Under the Roulez Vert initiative, financial aid is extended to businesses, municipalities, or organizations for installing EV charging stations for corporate or employee vehicles, covering 50% of eligible costs up to $5,000 per single port wireless charging station or $5,000 per connector.

Quebec Multi-unit Residential Building Charging Station Rebate
A rebate program for the acquisition, lease, and installation of one or more 240 VAC charging stations in multi-unit residential buildings, offering up to $5,000 per charging station.

Quebec DC Fast Charging Station Rebate for Fleets
Offering up to $60,000 or 50% of total eligible costs for DC fast charging stations utilized by light, medium, and heavy-duty road fleets.

Yukon Level 2 Charger Rebate
Provides a rebate covering 75% of total installation costs up to $7,500 for each Level 2 charger, applicable to multi-family residences, workplaces, and public sites, with a cap of 20 chargers per location.

Beyond the rebates detailed in the rebate finder, businesses may qualify for the AFITC, which as of January 1, 2023, grants a federal tax credit of 30% on the purchase and installation costs of commercial EV chargers, up to $100,000.

National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program
The NEVI Formula Program, part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), allocates $7.5 billion for EV charging projects to promote equitable EV access and reduce transportation emissions. Eligible projects within 1 mile of alternative fuel corridors can receive up to 80% of project costs, covering installation, “make-ready” work, and some hardware and software expenses for EV charging infrastructure.
